2004” but launched in 2006 Regal 2200 powered by a Volvo KAD 32 160 Hp inboard diesel engine.
This boat has only one owner from new and has a full service history with 130 hours use. She is in very good condition condition and is ready to go. Regal’s 2200 is the company’s new luxuriously appointed bowrider. Built with quality hardware and advanced construction techniques, this boat is designed to look great and perform well for years to come.
Construction
The hull, deck, and stringer system are fabricated entirely from fiberglass and synthetic coring, with no wood to rot or decay. For hatch covers and to back upholstered panels, Regal uses various synthetic products such as Pro-Panel and Starboard. In rare instances where the company uses wood (I could not find any on the 2200), Regal employs ultra-tough marine plywood called Perma-Panel, which is completely encapsulated to seal out moisture, and backed with a lifetime warranty against rotting or warping. While many manufacturers apply colored tape to a completed hull, Regal’s hull graphics are colored gelcoat, applied to the inside of the mold before the fiberglass is laid. The resulting smooth hull has no tape to peel or scratch, and can be waxed and buffed repeatedly without damaging the graphics. Vinyl upholstery is “french stitched” heavy weight fabric, formulated to resist the sun and stains. All hardware is stainless steel, including six pull-up cleats, stainless steel grab rails, stainless bimini top supports, and a stainless ski-tow pylon. The windshield header is polished stainless steel, and the windshield is fabricated from just three sections, two curved sides and a center hinged walkthrough. This high-tech design eliminates the corner posts that obstruct the driver’s visibility on most boats. The stainless steel, telescoping boarding ladder is recessed beneath a locking fiberglass hatch on the swim platform. Most engine packages even include a stainless steel propeller for durability and increased performance, especially “out of the hole.”
The 2200 is an excellent family day boat with a huge cockpit and lots of storage space. She has two bucket seats that swivel and a large u-shaped seat behind which is a full beam sunbed. She has a walk through transom onto a built-in bathing platform with stainless steel ladder and shower. The open bow area is also large and has again masses of storage. This Regal 2200 has had a monster tower wake board tower professionally fitted and is sold complete with an SBS twin axle multi-roller road trailer which has just had a full service.
